# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You can see every layer through the glass, which makes even a rushed breakfast feel special and intentional.
  • No cooking means no cleanup beyond a cutting board, and you can eat it straight from the jar if you want.
  • It keeps you full for hours without that heavy feeling some breakfast dishes leave behind.
  • You can swap out whatever fruit is sitting in your fridge and it still works perfectly.
02 -
  • If you build these the night before, store the granola separately in a small container and add it right before eating.
  • Cold yogurt straight from the fridge layers better than room temperature yogurt, which tends to slide around.
  • Using glasses instead of bowls makes the layers visible and somehow makes it taste better, even though that makes no sense.
03 -
  • Layer the yogurt slightly higher on one side of the glass so the fruit tilts and shows off the colors better.
  • Use a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off to pipe yogurt neatly down the sides for clean stripes.
  • If you're making these for kids, let them build their own parfaits in small cups and they'll actually eat the fruit.
