04 - 1/2 cup vegetable oil
→ Jello Filling
05 - 1 box (3 oz) cherry-flavored gelatin
06 - 1 cup boiling water
07 - 1/2 cup cold cherry cola soda

08 - 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
09 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - 1 cup maraschino cherries, stems removed and sliced
# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
02 - Whisk together cake mix, eggs, 1 cup cherry cola soda, and vegetable oil until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes.
03 - Using the handle of a wooden spoon, pierce holes evenly over the cooled cake approximately 1 inch apart.
04 - Dissolve cherry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir thoroughly, then add 1/2 cup cold cherry cola soda. Allow to cool for five minutes.
05 - Slowly pour the gelatin mixture over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes evenly.
06 - Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour until the gelatin is set.
07 - Beat heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
08 - Spread whipped cream evenly over the chilled cake and garnish with sliced maraschino cherries. Slice to serve chilled.
